Cross belt sorter - infeed

Hello all,

Has anyone made a cross belt sorter infeed in FlexSim ? A 30 degrees infeed with a sorter that has carriers.

Please advise.

Hello Braydn,

Something more like this. The parcels that enter the infeed they never change orientation.

In my example they do but I'm not able to cancel that not even with a Decision Point or a Photo Eye.

Also the infeed should wait for a free carrier and then induct the parcel.

Also when the loops is filled you can see boxes jumping from dog to dog. Is there a way to fix that ? Thank you in advance!!!infeed2.fsm

Hi @CRETU M,

This problem has to do with 2 things: the transfer type and the required entry spacing.

  1. Open the transfer point that connects the conveyors (Conveyor 3 to Conveyor 10). Click the "..." next to Transfer Type. Change the "Max Angle" underneath For Inline Transfer box to a large angle (Like 80). This will make sure that your transfer type is inline, not side transfer.
  2. In your "ConveyorType1" properties, chance the Entry Space field to look like this:

This should fix the problem.
