I know people module is focus on healthcare, restaurant, airport, any case sensitive with people.
I wonder is there any application/example/scenario/situation in a factory that has benefit from people module?
Currently I only found elevator bank great for operators to transport item over floors.
Most of the Process Flow activities are designed to be used together to build a specific type of model and probably wouldn't be very useful in a factory setting.
I think the biggest benefits are just the general improvements made to the software that can be shared between lots of different kinds of models. You mentioned the elevators object. There's also the Walls object that can be used for decoration or hooked up to A* to create barriers. There's new diverse operator shapes that can be used to customize the look of your operators and give them greater variety. We've added and will continue to add new animations to these operators. Other less noticeable things have been added to FlexSim to facilitate healthcare style models like improvements to the Group and Time Table objects and the addition of the Down Behavior object.
You can show the material flow of a factory or facility in an abstract level. You know the speed of the items or data but you needn’t AGVs, transporters or conveyors to visualize the transfer of them. You just want to visualize the transfer from one process area to another. They aren’t looking as persons just as boxes. You can apply this for any flow: financial, resources, documents, licenses, administrations, ...
