When I have seen this done in the past, it was done using custom code that determined the position of the last box using the array retrieved from calling .subnodes on the parent, calculating where the next box should be, and then calling the rotation command on the item. @Benjamin W2 had a model at one point that did that. I will ask him if he still has it.
