How do I sent the patient and any companions(0-2) to a waiting Area group?

@Matthew Gillespie One more look at companions.

I want to have the patient and any companions (0-2) walk together to the group Kiosks, then walk together to the group WaitingArea and all of them sit down. This occurs in the activity Walk to WR marked in red at the Register at Kiosk container.

If the patient has to walk to registration to complete the check in, I would like to reserve the chair the patient is in and have the patient return to that chair after completing the check in. Returning to the chair is in the activity Walk to WR in red in the Complete check in container.

I have no trouble with departure because the patient does not go back to the chairs in the waiting area but the companions join the patient at Spot1 and exit.

Thanks for the help.

I pulled up your model, but wasn't able to resolve what your concern was. This is what I saw:

https://www.screencast.com/t/6guv29Mkne

I couldn't see anything "in red", and the patient and companion seemed to come in together ok, take a seat in the waiting room, while the patient registered and was treated.

@Cliff King thanks for checking the model for me.

In the model you are looking at the "Walk to WR" in the activity group Register at Kiosk was sent to Chairs1. I am trying to send them to the Group "WaitingArea" including all of the chairs in the waiting room. If you make this change, you will see the messages I get.

In the activity "Walk to WR" in the activity group Complete Check in I would like to send the patient back to the previously occupied chair.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Regards,

Good Morning@Cliff King @Matthew Gillespie

I "found" the "List of Choices" option in the Location Activity which lets me include all of the four different set of chairs in this model as possible locations for patients. You can see this in the Container "Register at Kiosks" in the Available WRs.

Even though I can include all of the chairs in the waiting area I only get the program to run with zero and one companions. This is done in the Split activity in the "Register at Kiosk" also. I would like to be able include two or three companions also but I was unable to get the sub flow so that I could order one, two or three companions.

I could sure use some help on this part of the model.

Thanks,

Tee

VariableCompanionsWR.fsm

In the attached model I took out the split activity and replaced it with a Create Tokens activity that creates a token for each of the companions. These tokens acquire a WR spot for the companion and then tells the companion to travel to that spot.

Also, I changed the AvailableWRs resource to just point at the WaitingArea group since that is a group that contains all the waiting room multilocation objects.

Thanks @Matthew Gillespie and @Cliff King for your help. Really great work.....

I appreciate learning about creating tokens for the Companions. It never ceases to amaze me how my mind can get stuck on a line of thinking not see beyond that line.

Cliff, I agree with you about too many questions associated with this post. My bad!
