About Flexsim Web Server

Hi, I have a question about FlexSim Web Server. Successfully deploying the model on the server also works. But the clarity of viewing in the browser is very poor. Is there any way to solve this problem?

Thank you!

For your indicated FlexSim version 18.2, the graphics rendering is done server-side.

From the documentation:

Because the Webserver is actually running FlexSim models and rendering the graphics, the system requirements for the Webserver are the recommended system requirements for FlexSim itself.

What graphics hardware do you have installed on the server? Does it meet the recommended spec level? (Not the minimum!) Are the drivers up-to-date?

You'll also want to make sure that the network connection between the client PC and the server is stable and fast. The server is streaming the 3D view to the client as compressed video images. Because the server must capture, compress, and stream the 3D view, the framerate will likely not be as good as it would be running directly on a desktop PC with similar graphics hardware.

=====

Starting with FlexSim 2020 Update 2 (20.2, currently in public beta), a new graphics rendering mode is available for the FlexSim Webserver that offloads graphics to the client PC. See the "Streaming Modes" heading on the 20.2 documentation. If you have the opportunity to upgrade your FlexSim installation and model, you may want to do so to take advantage of this new feature.
