Establish Communication between FlexSim and Node-Red

Hello, everyone, i'm trying to establish communication between my FlexSim model and the Node-red software. Initially, I'm trying to read the flexsim variable values to the Node-Red software, but I have tried to do this through modbus in the emulation function but without luck. Do you have any suggestions for me?

Hi @Flavia P2,

Maybe @Joshua S or @Matt Long will be able to comment on FlexSim's emulation functionality.

You may also consider some other communication avenues, like sockets or web, or websockets using FlexSim's built in WebKit and methods to call back and forth between WebKit and FlexSim.

I'm not familiar with Node-Red, what types of protocols does it use for communication? Emulation and Modbus are for mostly PLC communication. Starting in version 20.1 we have a HTTP API that you can use as well.

Thank you for your answers, I was able to solve my problem and read registers from Flesim to node-red, Now I'm trying to write to the registers but with no luck (already made another post regarding this problem)

You could also try using OPC-UA with Node-Red.
