create a system pulled by forecast sales without using a process flow

Hello, I want to model on Flexsim a system pulled by forecast sales spread over a week (for example 50 product required for saturday, 100 for sunday etc) and I don't know how I can model this on Flexsim. I thank you in advance for your help.

Hi @Célia LI

I'm not entirely sure what you're asking.

You can use an arrival table to determine how many items enter the model at a given time by changing the arrival style on a source to Arrival Schedule

and then determine how many items per day (this model's time units are hours) in Edit Table

Is this what you are looking for?

Ok thank you, I was looking for a way to avoid using a process flow but if it is the only solution I will do it like that !

Celia,

the concept of Lists is available in 3D modelling as well, not in Process Flow only:

You will want to check the user manual´s "Working With Lists" topic.

Best wishes

I thank you for your response. I initially modeled it like this (using arrival schedule) but in that case I think that it would be a push strategy and not a pull one (because it starts from the source). I am rather looking for a way to start it from the final stock and then go up gradually to the source, if it is possible. I have to model a company based on a pull system.

Ah, I see. I believe this could be done with ProcessFlow, using a list for product inventory and a Pull from List activity acting as the product sales.
