ERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND (-6) with "New" button

The following error message appears when I click the "New" button on the FlexSim start page.

This error happened after my PC recovered from a blue screen.

I also tried reinstalling, but it didn't work.

How can I fix this error?

Hi @Shinya O,

Try deleting your prefs.t. If that doesn't help, some of the other suggestions in our article FlexSim installation or startup error might help.

I tried deleting my prefs.t and tried FlexSim installation or startup error - FlexSim Community but it didn't work.

After my PC recovered from the blue screen, windows update run automatically (2022/10/12).

My current windows version is as follows.

Let's see if we can get more information. Please do the following:
  1. Start FlexSim.
  2. When the start page loads, right click anywhere in the start page and choose "Inspect".
  3. From the Web Dev Tools panel that opens at the bottom, choose the "Console" tab.
  4. Right click again anywhere in the start page. Choose Reload.
  5. Right click in the console. Choose Save As.
  6. Save a log file. Check it to make sure that it contains the information you see in the console.
  7. Send back the log information.

We have found a bug that will be fixed in the next bugfix releases for 22.0 LTS and 22.2.

Sorry for the trouble. For now just open a new model from the File > New Model (Ctrl - N) menu option.

@Shinya O This bug has been fixed for 22.0.9 and 22.2.3 which will come out next week.
