Stack pallets in rack with Process Flow logic

Hello everyone,

I have been working on creating an initial inventory, this is made up of pallets with products. However, using the different slot allocation strategies, it has been quite complex, as they do not fit the dimensions of the rack.

I used the library developed by @Jason Lightfoot , but it did not work, despite its installation. Or perhaps, because I did not know how to use the developed resource.

It is required that each pallet occupies only one slot or maximum two, depending on the type of product.

Example:

Product Type 1, only 2 pallets can be stacked per slot.

Product Type 2, only 1 pallet can be stacked per slot.

Product Type 3, only 1 pallet per slot can be stacked.

I appreciate all the support. Thank you very much.

See my answer to your other question: It is a timing issue. The pallets are currently moved into the rack before the sizes are updated.

You can instead create the pallet in the model and move it into the rack (model attached).

To perform the stacking constraint you should find an appropriate slot based on the types before moving into the rack.

I appreciate your example with the model, this makes it more understandable. Thank you for your support. It really is an invaluable help. @Jason Lightfoot

@Henry Paipa: “This is easier if you create the pallets in the model first”. This instruction was meant explicitly. You have to create items in model space first, then you find a slot and at last you move the item into your storage system by.evaluating slot’s rack object property.
