Information about the database

Hello,

I am doing a project for which I use FlexSim GIS. It has default databases to establish the routes by air, by road, and by rail. Where do these data used to measure time, distance, and costs come from? Is speed included in those parameters?

Thanks and best regards,

FlexSim 23.0.3

Hello Diego. The servers that feed the GIS module provide only travel distance between 2 points, based on the route (i.e. roads)

For road and rail segments, speed and by consequence, travel time, will depend on the task executer of your choice (it is a parameter of the vehicle)

For air travel you can define an average speed

But, in both cases this is an input that you need to define for your model.

Any other calculation such as cost, will be based on those inputs.
