Random Number Streams

This option controls the range (between 0 and the specified value) of random number streams that will be initialized by Flexsim when the model is reset.(https://docs.flexsim.com/en/24.1/Reference/GeneralModelSettings/ModelGeneralProperties/ModelGeneralProperties.html#properties)

Does it still make sense to show this setting in recent versions of FlexSim ?

Since 2016, unique random streams are assigned to objects/activities in the model using the command getstream(). So we don't really need to care about how many random streams are initialized when the model is reset.

I discussed with my colleagues, none of us ever changes the setting Random Number Streams in the screenshot above. I wonder if any user in 2024 still needs/wants to edit that value. Maybe that could be removed from the Model Settings GUI.

We'll add this as an idea for the developers to consider. It may be that there are some models that don't use getstream that may still utilize this.
