Importing FBX fiel into Flexsim with textures

Hi, I have this file from CAD loading into 3ds Max, and from there convert this file into FBX format.

When I attach this file into FlexSim using BasicFR seems that my shape lost all its colors, its everything in the color of FlexSim Basic FR which is gray by default.

Does anyone knows how to keep the color and shapes into FlexSim, or shall I need to do something additional in the 3dsMax.

Don’t embed the textures in 3ds Max. In the fbx exporter, make sure that box is not checked. FlexSim doesn’t read embedded textures in fbx files. The actual texture file needs to be on the system with the fbx file.

If everything looks correct in 3ds Max, then you have the data necessary to make it look right in FlexSim; it just needs to be configured correctly in 3ds Max.

In the Bone Animation article, you can reference the sections from “Preparing the Character using 3ds Max” through “Making part of the object change color.” Although that document is specifically about animated characters from Mixamo, the same hints and steps can be used to manipulate the materials of any shape in 3ds Max.

I think you should be able to figure out how to configure your shape to look good in FlexSim if you read those sections and then poke around in 3ds Max to make sure everything is configured correctly and exporting correctly so that it renders well in FlexSim.
