FlexSim stops working after opening new model

UPDATE: I attempted to click the "3D View" button to see if FlexSim is crashing due to an OpenGL issue (as suggested by @Markus Cueva), but FlexSim did not crash and I am able to interact with the 3D View.

It's my first time opening the software and FlexSim stops working after clicking "New Model" from the Start Page. I've restarted the computer and the same thing happens. I've also reinstalled the software and the same thing happens. (My version is FlexSim 2016 Update 2, OS is Windows 10.) I tried compatibility mode for Win 7, Win 8, and Win Vista, but I'm still getting the same problem.

Before you click anywhere, try going to menu option File > Global Preferences.

On the Dynamic Content page, try unchecking all the boxes and then press Apply.

Then close and reopen FlexSim.

If that doesn't work, try unchecking "Show start page when FlexSim opens" on the Environment tab of Global Preferences, Apply that window, then close and reopen FlexSim.

It may not directly solve your problem, but its always a good idea to make sure that your computer is all caught up with Windows updates and has the latest graphics driver installed. I have seen many odd behaviors in the past that were fixed by updating the graphics driver, so please try that.

It may also be worth looking at some of the other suggestions listed in this article regarding issues on installation or startup.
