How to create a sub model to hide complexity in a main model.

I have attached an extremely small model that I am using as a trial to create a sub model.

My goal is to put the highlighted portion of the model into a sub model.

The model is attached below as weds.fsm and the image contains the highlighted portion I am trying to "hide" by putting it into a submodel.

I am using FLexsim 2016 for Education.

I greatly appreciate your help.

Here are the steps:

Select the objects that you wish to show/hide by holding down the SHIFT key and dragging a lasso around the objects in the 3D view (you can Ctrl-click objects to add/remove them from the selection).
Drag a new visual Plane object into your model. Position it near the selected objects.
Open the Edit Selected Objects tool panel (View > Edit Selected Objects)
Left click the new Plane object to yellow highlight it.
In the Edit Selected Objects tool panel, under the Edit heading, press the topmost button Move into Highlighted. This nests the selected objects under the highlighted Plane object.
Right-click the plane. Select Edit > Show Content to toggle visibility of the objects moved into the Plane.
