What's the best way for multiple people work on a big model together?

Hello!

We are doing a big model right now while we are struggling working on it the same time. I am aware of we can do separately and then put them together. But I would like to challenge if we have any better way to do it? Like the online Word of Excel allows multiple people to work together simultaneously and see which part each other working on. Wonder if we have such functions in Flexsim?

Thanks!

Check out this page from the help manual:

https://answers.flexsim.com/articles/23118/flexsim-xml-18.html

It covers all the techniques we use to collaborate on a single model.

Hi @Sam Z,

the best way to work on one model with multiple modelers is to use FlexSim's XML format to save the model, .FSX. That allows you to use development tools like version management utilities as well as splitting up the model between multiple files using a FlexSim File Map, .FFM.

The process is described very well in section

"Reference/Developer and Advanced User Reference/XML in FlexSim"

of the User Manual.

Good luck

Ralf
