Hello boys.

As Jörg says, really the desire to learn is the greatest asset you can have. We all have to start somewhere after all. For computer simulations (like using FlexSim software) it does help to have some basic computer skills to start with. Another useful skill is the ability to look at problems and systems from a logical perspective, understanding how A leads to B, etc. But any of the skills needed can be learned.
I think @Sam Stubbs is right on with his comments. The only thing I'll add is that simulation skills should be honed regularly. Every company has subject matter experts (SMEs) for their various tools, whether it be CAD software, data visualization software, SAP, or even Microsoft Office. Anyone who wants to be a subject matter expert in simulation, and gain more than just a working knowledge of the tool, should expect to be consistent in using and learning simulation.
