Hello Azad,
you have to specify a little further, what you are looking for. Do you talk about gaps on conveyors or travelers queuing up on a network or what else are you looking at?
A small model would be helpful, where you let us know you want to see the gaps.
Ralf
Hi Ralf,
I am looking for gap between travellers queuing up. I want to model a 'gap correction conveyor', which will correct the gaps between the travellers (different size boxes), considering the distance, box/traveler length and velocity between the front and back traveller (different size boxes). Please find the attached drawing that will make it clearer. If you have further question pls feel free to contact. Thanks in advance.gapping.png
Still not sure if I understand what you are trying to do. Do you want to use one FlexSim conveyor to mimic a set of belts from your drawing? Do the belts start all together or is each belt driven independently? What is the logic then to start and stop a belt?
As Sebastian said, you can use decision points to start and stop items on conveyors. Also you can use them to limit content of a conveyor section using an area.
Good luck
Ralf
If you work on an conveyor you can stop the part on a decision point / photo eye and calculate the time the last part has to travel away with conveyor speed until the gap is big enough. As soon as this time is arrived release the part.
I would recommend looking at the Conveyor tutorial 1.3. It goes well into showing how to add gaps between boxes with either a set size or according to the size of each box.

If after going through this tutorial you need more help please let me know.
