How to include 'risk' in a model

pretimingjobs-rev2.fsm

I've got a process in which I want to allow for a 10% risk as a whole. I believe I can do this through MTBF MTTR, but in the Down Time I've apply a 10% or a 90% and it does not make any difference. See snapshot and model attached. What am I doing wrong?

FlexSim 19.0.2
risk allowance

5 |100000

Up to 12 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 23.8 MiB each and 47.7 MiB total.

It seems as if your model was build in Version 2019.1.1.

As the Name MTBF MTTR it gives the option to add a Time between failures and a down time (time to repair). So the field you are working in assumes a time. The option you chose gives the chance to say in 10% the time is 1 (and now you have to complete it and say what should happen in the rest 90%) between two failures!

But if you want a failure rate of 10 Percent you could do something like:

Uptime = 90

Downtime = 10

· 1
5 |100000

Up to 12 attachments (including images) can be used with a maximum of 23.8 MiB each and 47.7 MiB total.

That makes sense and works perfectly. Thanks a lot.
