The JT importer has a known issue that it does not currently scale the object correctly based on the units specified in the file. The file will come into FlexSim in whatever units your model is in regardless of the units specified within the file.

This issue should be fixed in an upcoming release of the library we are using to load the JT files.

In the meantime, you can re-scale your JT shapes using the unit conversion popup on the General tab of an object's Properties window:

1. Click in each size field and then press the Model Unit Conversion button:

2. Select the model units that the shape was built in and then press the Convert button:

The "Escort Patient to Exit" activity set throws an exception when you try to create it.

This bug has been fixed in the 15-Nov beta.

The tutorial is still a little behind the last changes to the software. Instead of creating a general flow and an instanced flow, you should instead create a Person Flow. Selecting this option will create the general Arrivals flow with a Create Person activity and link it to the new Person Flow. The drop down and sampler of the People Flow field let you sample Person flows, but not TE Instanced flows anymore.
