Property Tables columns "Groups" vs "AllGroups"?

What's the difference between the "Groups" and "AllGroups" columns in Property Tables? The online documentation in "PROPERTY TABLES" explains AllGroups, but I could not find anything describing the Groups column.

They seem the same, but I thought I saw/heard somewhere that they are different. For what I need, AllGroups seems to work fine for filtering, sorting, and so on.

Thanks

You'll only really see the difference if you have nested groups. Groups will only list the groups the object is a direct member of. AllGroups will list all groups including the groups it is indirectly a member of. Here's an example, Group1 contains Group2 and Group2 contains Group3. Putting Processor2 in Group3 gives you just Group3 for Groups, but lists all three groups in AllGroups:

AH yes, I see now. Thank you!

I do remember seeing that somewhere in the doc (or maybe it was a video). So you could say, that "AllGroups" will give you the group lineage (or, provenance) of a particular item if it has at least 1 parent group.
