How can i define specific shifts for staff groups?

How can i define specific shifts for staff groups?

I would like to know how i can assign different shifts for the same resource group in Flexsim HC. For example, i would like to have 1 nurse during 00:00-06:00, 2 during 06:00-09:00 and 3 during 06:00-12:00. How i that modeled in HC? Thank you in advance.

I would recommend reading the part of the User Manual that talks about Shift Schedules. (Help >User Manual > Routine Staff or Location Activities > The Shift Schedule Tools)

You can make multiple shift schedules, assign individual nurses to the right schedule, and then in the schedule set which blocks of time the staff should be available and which times they should be off-schedule.

Thank you very much. I am modeling a particularly small healthcare unit, and as a result, it may be easy to model in that way using shift schedules. But what would happen if i had to include many nurses and doctors in way different shifts each (different working hours, more on weekdays - less on weekends, etc.). How would i model that automatically and not manually?

You can add a group to a shift schedule and then all the group members are automatically added to the schedule, but then everyone in the group has the same schedule.

Other than that, there's not really a way to do it "Automatically." The model has no way of knowing when people should should work unless you tell it explicitly.
