FloWorks: How to get away with Inflow Rule?

Hello! As you can see from the attached screenshot, I have a valve between sources and tanks. Is there a way to eliminate or avoid Inflow Rule(s) somehow? My idea is that the valve acts as an inflow aggregator between sources for control (just in case) and visual purposes. But, according to Inflow Rules, I cannot set the valve that it allows letting through the whole inflow volume from three different sources.

Hi @Viktor K4 ,

The inflow rule is only relevant when the valve has a maximum capacity which is less than the maximum flow of the input objects.

In this case, I can see from your screenshot that the valve is set to "Unlimited" and the sources are constraining at an outflow rate of 10 each. So if you leave the inflow rule on the valve at its default this model will work as you expect it to.

The inflow rule will only kick in if you set the max. flow rate of the valve to less than 30. In that case, you have to pick something, because "letting through the whole inflow volume from three different sources" is not possible then. For example, if you set it to 24, the default inflow rule will allow the first two sources to continue delivering at 10 and squeeze its third input connection to 4; while the "balanced rate" rule will allow you to set a fixed ratio and if you set it to 1 : 1 : 1, for example, give each source an outflow of 8.
