How do I increase the output from Source?

Hi! I want to ask if there is a way for me to increase my source output or like the rate output using inter-arrival time (as that is what i've been taught). If so, what inter-arrival statistical distribution is viable? (currently i've been taught on how to use exponential and LogNormal2 but it is hard to understand these 2. I hope to understand these in simpler terms)

For example,

1st model, the source enter like 5 ppl per minute

2nd model i wanna make the source enter 15 ppl per min

Do assist me. Thank you!

Hello @suhweg777,

Using the inter-arrival time is the correct way to change the source output/arrival rate. The ability to choose different statistical distributions helps provide some variability to the system. One of the helpful features that FlexSim has to help you choose the correct statistical distribution is the Distribution Chooser.

The Distribution Chooser helps you visualize what a given distribution looks like. It gives information such as the mean and standard deviation of the distribution. To open the Distribution Chooser click on your source, and then click on the edit parameters icon that is shown in the image below.

Smaller values generated by distribution increase output of interarrival time driven sources.
