Traffic controller used to improve simulated manufacturing process.

Attached to this body is our model for our simulated manufacturing process. We are looking to improve the "staytimes" of the queues and the idle times of the processors with the help of the traffic controller within our system. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Please describe what you'd like the behaviour to be vs. what you think it is doing now. If you can be specific with examples at precise times in the model that would be even better.

This is for a group project in our Automation class with the emphasis being the smart traffic control light. We were thinking of running the model with a typical morning shift (8 AM to 3PM). We would also like to have the same amount of input in the sources but have the output increase significantly. This can be done with the inclusion of more AVG's or maybe a better placement for the source locations. The ultimate goal is to reduce the amount of units stacked in the queue that can be seen at the end of the shift.

I meant specific events. It sounds like you want someone to improve your system without knowing the constraints, while the question topic specifically referred to the traffic controller object which handles congestion at a junction. When do you think this occurs (at which event times) and what would you like to do differently?

There's a traffic jam at approximately 7:13,7:15,8:05,8:06,8:08, 8:14,8:49,8:52,8:54,8:56.., and we know this problem would only increase with the inclusion of more AVG's. We were looking to have at least two AVG's run on each network path but we were struggling to implement the traffic control effectively.
