Change object's color that is downloaded from 3DWareHouse?

Is there a way to change object's color that is downloaded from 3DWareHouse? I have downloaded the steel ladle.skp from 3DWareHouse, now I want to change the color of it.

You would need to use a CAD software or such to edit and change the color of the shape.

If you just wanted the contents to have a different color you could place a cylinder in it and change its shape to be a thin disk. You can then change the colors of this disk.
