Custom 3d Object is invisible when copied to another model

Lift alone.fsm

In the attached model, I created a custom truck using 3 separate files (for 3 different colors). One file is the main object and the other 2 are components (as seen in More Visuals/Animations).

This works great. Except I need to reuse this trucks and others like it in other models.

But when I copy-paste the object in another model it has no visible 3d shape. I can't figure out why. The source files are in the same folder location but the 2nd model isn't able to show them for some reason.

I tried adding the object to a custom library and opening it in the 2nd model and it does the same thing.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks a lot,

Have you reloaded media in the new model after the paste?

It changes nothing when I do. The files are not in the Media Files list even if I do.

And when Copying-Pasting or Saving to a User library shouldn't the 3D shape be copied/saved with the object?

No you'd have to manage that by placing a 'packedmedia' node in the tree above the objects containing media and then selecting 'reload media'.

But reloading the media should work if the objects with media paths are in the model scope.

Are your paths absolute or relative to the model save directory? If the latter then try saving the new model to the same model directory and then reloading the media.

Yes that works. I put the complete path (C:/Users/etc...) and then Reload Media and it works. Thanks.
