How do I import an image in the 3D model?

Hi:

I am reading a book, titled "simulation software primer", in page 62, it showed importing a layout as shown.

layout.png

I did try to import it via Filename drop-down menu in the Texture section of the Display tab as shown.

layout-problem02.jpg

But it did not work. The flexsim file is as shown.

Primer_2-1B.fsm

The correct result is shown below.

layout-problem.jpg

Its flexsim file coming from the primer book is below.

Primer_2-1A.fsm

Is it because mine is a trial version of flexsim, and importing an image only works for the license version?

FlexSim 22.0.1
importing the image
layout.png (47.5 KiB)
layout-problem02.jpg (162.1 KiB)
layout-problem.jpg (278.6 KiB)
primer-2-1b.fsm (26.4 KiB)
primer-2-1a.fsm (432.9 KiB)

After selecting the file you want to add as texture click into the File Path field again and then out of it. That should make FlexSim actually load the image.

Maybe this feature was not available yet when the book was written. But the preferable way to add a layout to a model would be as a model background in the toolbox.

The model background method works. Thanks.
