Conveyor Acceleration

Hello, I have this simple model of three conveyor where I only change the acceleration, but they seem to beheave the same. Am I doing something wrong or I am not understanding what conveyor acceleration is supposed to do?

If you want to have accelerating flow items use the Legacy Basic Conveyor.

Hi @Julio R

Since the acceleration is rate of change of speed. There is no difference in the travelling behavior of conveyors. To put that difference, calculate the acceleration of conveyor using the speed and assign both speed and acceleration to the conveyor, then you can observe the difference.

The acceleration value is used when you change the speed of the conveyor itself. Stopping/resuming individual items happens instantaneously.

I do not understand why there would not be a difference in the travelling behavior. If the items are traveling at the final speed, I understand that they travel at the same speed, but after the items stop in a station, they should take different times to reach the final speed depending on the acceleration, and this is not what I see in my example.

In order to see the behavior you describe using the new/current conveyors you will need to split them up into sections that you can stop and start - which will then use the acceleration values to change the conveyor speed. Any item on the conveyor moves at the current conveyor speed. So with a conveyor set to zero speed, you'd set its target speed to full, and then release the item immediately on it from the station. How well that works for you would depend on the characteristics of the system.

Thank you @Felix Möhlmann , that was what I was missing.
