Exporting Bonsai Simulator Package with Express License

Dear Community,

I am currently evaluating the usage of Bonsai+Flexsim and I working with the sample cases provided in the FlexsimAI repro. However I am not able export the model as managed simulator and I get a message that the current license does not support model export.

Do we need to upgrade the license to try out the sample cases as managed simulators?

Thanks for your response in advance.

Please be aware that Microsoft has ended the Bonsai program. The service continues to be available for a few months while they fulfill their contractual obligations, but it will be taken offline soon, with no plan for replacement.

You can use Python to complete RL projects with FlexSim. You can either use Python's RL libraries, such as stable-baselines. Or, if you find another RL platform you want to use, you can probably use Python to turn FlexSim into an environment for that platform. This is how we connected to Bonsai before adding a more integrated solution.

See FlexSim's stable-baselines/gym documentation for more details:

The short answer to your question is yes, you need a license to create a sim package.
