Issues setting up HTTPS for FlexSim webserver and connecting to it.

I am attempting to set up the webserver to use HTTPS, as seen in this post: https://answers.flexsim.com/questions/127966/flexsim-webserver-support-https.html. I have uncommented the mentioned lines of code and set the path to the certificate and the key files, and set the port to 443 as suggested in one of the comments. I can start the webserver, but there is an error, as shown below. When I attempt to get to the server from the URL we set up on the local machine everything works fine. However, when I attempt to get to the server from a machine not on the same system as the Webserver I can not connect. I get the timeout error message. Any help will be apprciated. I am using version 22.2.0

@Gerald,

Did you try connecting to the webserver from the 2nd PC before configuring SSL? Did it work then, but started failing after enabling SSL?

If the webserver's browser interface loads properly locally from a browser on the same system as the webserver, but not from a 2nd computer, that sounds like a firewall issue. In that case you could try turning off Windows Firewall on the webserver to test from a 2nd PC. If that fixes the issue, you'll want to re-enable the firewall but create exceptions to allow the webserver to communicate through the firewall.

Help me understand how your screenshot relates to the problem you describe. Does this error show after you start the webserver? After you connect from the local PC? After you connect from a 2nd PC?

Sorry for the slow reply. It was a firewall issue. I had to make rules to allow port 443 to receive messages. This fixed the issue.
