3D Model 2nd level

Hi,

I have a 3D model with 1 level which I was able to create with no issues. Is it possible to create a 2nd level (and import a picture to serve as the "floor layout") for that second level in Flexsim? How do I go about doing that?

Kind regards,

Khadija

You can either add the layout as a model background in the toolbox.

Or you can add a "Plane" object (in the "Visual" category of the library) and set the layout as its texture. (After you add the file path into the field, click into the field and away from it again to update visuals the 3d model.)

You can then drag objects into the plane which will position them as subnodes of the plane in the tree. So you can move the plane and everything inside of it will also be moved at the same time.

@KhadijaM, if you want to stack levels above another, you can set a different height value for your grid in 3D working window. If nothing is highlighted in your 3D view window and you select simply a point in this view, you can edit values in quick properties for your view.

Grid Z edit field is responsible to change a different height of the grid.

Changes the z position of the grid to more easily create multi-floor models. Objects added to the model will be placed at this z position.
