Video Recorder - Video quality issues

Hi,

I'm using the 24.0.2 version, but I can't select it below.

Since the release of the 24.0, the quality of the videos recorded with the Video Recorded is sometimes bad.

It's hard to describe exactly what leads to a bad video, but here are my observations :

  • The more 3D you have, the less it works
  • The more movements you have, the less it works
  • It seems that the H264 codecs work less often than the MPEG-4 codec

I add to this post :

Thanks.

Please try to record it in slower runspeed. You mentioned dependencies that have an impact on performance related to graphical and system power. Codecs can be directly supported by gpu features.

It seems to work fine in your model if you don't close the video recorder GUI. Once you do and then reopen the GUI the subsequent recorded quality is degraded significantly.

I'll send this observation to the developers and maybe it will shed light on other cases where quality is lost.
