How to make MySQL 8 and 5 database connectors coexist

I think I need to install the MySQL driver (dll format) to connect to MySQL from FlexSim, but

is it possible to have dlls from 8 and 5 coexist?

I'd like to be able to connect to MySQL 5 while connecting to MySQL 8.

FlexSim's connection only works with MySQL 5 at the moment. You may be able to use MySQL8 with another application at the same time but you'd need to check their documentation for that (eg. here)

I understood that FlexSim only supports MySQL 5.

We you able to resolve your issue? If not could you tell us a bit more about what you're trying to do and with which applications? I feel we may be missing some information.

Problem solved.

Essentially I wanted to see if two versions of the MySQL driver could coexist in FlexSIm, but it appears that only MySQL 5 is supported at the moment, so I no longer need to worry about MySQL 8.
