Attempted to install FlexSim 2025 and 2023 and got the same error (see image below). I attempted the install both as an Administrator and as my normal user and got the same error each time. Any ideas on what might be causing this issue. I run Windows 11. This is a work computer that is managed by the companies IT department.
Hey @Joe Tenny, I can only find a couple of other posts, here and here, that have similar issues.
The first link has an answer that states it might be a problem with using a 32-bit operating system, but I know you've already mentioned you are using a 64-bit OS. We never heard back from the person who posted, so I don't know what, if anything, fixed the issue for them. And the accepted answer was likely auto-accepted since we never heard back.
The second link talks about a few things that can be tried, but I believe all the possible solutions mentioned (and even ones that are not mentioned in those posts) can be found in the link for the article on installation and startup issues. It sounds like you have already tried some of these possible solutions, so please try the other possibilities and see if they help.
Finally, I have just a few notes. Even though you have multiple versions of the Visual C++ Redistributable already, you might try downloading the latest version just to make sure the version on your system isn't causing issues. And I know you've already tried installing as an Administrator, but I wanted to check and see if you did that by right-clicking on the installer and choosing "Run as administrator" or if you signed in to an Administrator account. This might sound redundant, but if you're just singing into a different account, I still recommend going through the "Run as administrator" option as well. It may just be a coincidence, but I like using that option even when signed in as an Administrator because it seems to make a difference.
