How do I set a warmup period for my run?

I see where I search there is info about how to do this in the Healthcare version in the same way you set the model run time......but how do I do it if I don't have the health care version?

You can set a Warmup Time for experiment runs. You can find this field on the Experiment Run tab of the Experimenter.

For a normal model run you'd have to use the resetstats() command, for example in a User Event.

Can I make the first event time dynamic....such that I can set it from a dashboard?

Use the sampler on an Edit field in your Dashboard to get a reference to the First Event Time field on your user event.
