What level of encryption does flexsim provide in its Model Settings?

Hi, I was interested to know what type of encryption flexsim provide sin its model settings. I could not find much documentation about it and was wondering if it is just password protection or is it encrypted through a specific algorithm Cheers,

I know that FlexSim includes a library for AES encryption. That is probably also how FlexSim password protects saved model files, and most likely it's using AES256. @phil.bobo, if this is wrong you'll have to correct me.

For others finding this Q&A, if you did not know, you can password protect your model file from the main menu, Edit > Model Settings > Encrypt Model:

Yes, FlexSim encrypts the model using 256-bit AES encryption with the specified password as the key and a pseudorandom initialization vector.
