How to determine the routings of batches?

Hello,

I have a problem with the distribution of batches from a specific item type.

I want to integrate some hubs after a specific stage of production. (Processor9, Processor29, Processor30 are milling machines; Queue15 is a hub) Hubs should distribute the batches to the following fabrication step, which is different for each batch of item type.

Queues in front of a Processor portrays the delay time of a batch before manufacturing. (for example: Queue3, Queue18,…).

Queues after a Processor (such as: Queue14 or Queue 11) portrays a specific delay time of a batch after a certain item type has been produced. These Queues should hold the batch as long as its delay time is defined in a Global Table.

Examples for possible routings of batches:

Please look therefore at the attached picture, which shows an excerpt of the future model.

1.Itemtype1: Queue3 – Queue7 – Processor29 – Queue13 - Queue15 – Queue16 - Processor1 - Queue2 - Queue6 – Queue19 - Processor2 – Queue4 – Queue20

2.Itemtype2: Queue3 - Queue7 – Processor29 – Queue13 - Queue15 – Queue19 – Processor2 – Queue4 – Queue20

3.Itemtype3: Queue1 – Queue5 – Processor9 – Queue12 – Queue15 – Queue16- Processor1 – Queue2- Queue6 – Queue19 - Prozessor2 – Queue4 – Queue20

4.Itemtype4: Queue1 – Queue5- Processor9 – Queue12 – Queue15 – Queue18 – Processor8 – Queue11 – Queue6 – Queue19 – Processor2 –Queue4 – Queue20

5.Itemtype5: Queue9 – Queue10 – Processor30 – Queue14 – Queue15 – Queue19 – Processor2- Queue4 –Queue20

6.Itemtype6: Queue9 – Queue10 – Processor30 – Queue14 – Queue15 - Queue19 – Processor2- Queue4 – Queue20 - Queue9 – Queue10 – Processor30 – Queue14 – Queue15 – Queue17 – Processor6 – Queue8 – Queue6- Queue19 – Processor2 – Queue4 – Queue20

It is possible that batches of a specific item type go through a processor twice. Besides, there could be a new batch of this item type waiting in the same line.

How can these two batches be separated?

How can the routing of the batches be specified?

How can these problems be solved?

Thank you in advance.

Hey Martin,

Can you send in the model? A graphic just can't tell us what is going on in the model.

Thanks.
