The "Patient History" exported output does not sinc with Explore replications

I am conducting V&V and want to run the model in animation mode to observe why I get specific results found in the "Patient History" report. I ran 20 replications of my Base Case and looked at the results in the exported Patient History file. I make several unsuccessful attempts using the Experiment Control Explore feature to view a specific patient ID in a specific replication who enters the model at a specific time according to the Patient History file. The patient IDs in Explore do not match patient IDs in History. The patient IDs in the Patient History file simply do not sync with the Explore animations. What would prevent this from happening?

Thanks,

Everything looks fine to me. I made this sample model, patienthistorydemo., and I can explore any of the replications and have it match up exactly with the exported patient history.

My guess is that you're opening the wrong Patient history file since the file names don't actually say what replication or scenario they're from. For example, I ran my model once outside the experimenter and then once with the Experimenter (I run two replications of two scenarios) and this is what the generated files look like:

These files correspond to:

v1 - manual run

v2 - S1 R1

v3 - S1 R2

v4 - S2 R1

v5 - S2 R2

Thanks for the response, Matthew. Can you please tell me if I am correctly accessing the Patient History File? Step 1) After the model replications run, I hit the Export Data button (See Fig 1). I do not check Save Output Files prior to running because I can still retrieve Patient History.

Fig 1

Step 2) Then I check only Patient History from the selection.

Fig 2

The result is a file from which I am getting data for V&V, as well as results. It appears to be accurate with the exception of the fact that the patient IDs do not sync with the patients when reviewing in Explore mode. Can you explain why?

Thanks,

Jim

Yes, that is another way to export that data, although this way exports one file that contains data from all the replications back to back. The first two columns show you which scenario and replication each line corresponds to.

Exporting this data in my sample model shows patient IDs that much up with the patients when running an individual run in Explore mode.

As far as I can tell everything is working correctly. Are you sure you're looking at the correct rows for that scenario and replication?

I am unable to replicate the issue you're describing. If you want me to look into it more you'd need to let me look at your model and tell me where to find the erroneous data.
