Flexsim very very slow when CAD background is on

Hello,

Flexsim 17 is very very slow when CAD background is on. It wasn't like that with v16 for the same model. Shadows are off. If I uncheck Show 3D shape then the model runs blazing fast but if the CAD is visible its painfully slow. I cleaned the CAD before in AutoCAD so its now 4,625kb.

Would it be faster if I exploded elements in AutoCAD or if I saved it as DXF like we used to have to do in previous versions?

Or if I hide layers from the Flexsim background menu ?

Just trying to find ways to improve this.

Thanks

FlexSim 17.2.2

@Patrick Cloutier, can you attach the drawing to help us troubleshoot what has changed? Or post it to a private question if it is confidential?

Did you solve this question? Or can you send in your drawing as @Ben Wilson suggests?

Thanks.

Sorry I was in a hurry so I ended up hiding the cad which works. You can close this post. I don't seem to be able to find out how.

That's a good technique to make it render if it is not rendering, but it will be slower, not faster.
