Items enter to a queue, then they may pass to stations 1-3 or stations 4-6. I have 3 operators that transport units and operate work stations. How can I make that the operator that transports from queue to fist station continue with the product up to the sink?
For this particular case, we added the "Tagged Resource" pick option which lets you "tag" a resource (record a pointer to itself on a label of the flow item) and then hold that resource over multiple steps in the flow of the item before releasing it. Look for the "Tagged Resource" option in the Pick Operator and Use Transport fields.
You could also create a custom task sequence that combines the carrying operation and subsequent steps into the same task sequence. We used to teach this mechanism as part of our basic training classes.
More recently, you can get even more control over your operators' allocations and task sequences by using Process Flow logic, which is what we teach now.
