Webserver instance not launching

Hi !

@Jacob Gillespie

I installed flexsim 18.2 with the webserver on a virtual machine on a server. But when I try to launch an instance of a model, it stays stuck infinitely. On the server side the software opens with the following error:

exception: FlexScript exception: MAIN:/project/exec/globals/serverinterface/sendreply
the nodefunction called by httpgetquery did not call httpsendreply

After that I cannot even open the model on the server locally without having the error although the webserver is not running. A new model works locally but once I try to open it with the server it gives me the error above.

How can I make it work ? Otherwise is there a log file for the webserver and flexsim ? I could not find any.

I am using Flexsim Express 18.2 (at the moment) with Webserver 18.2. The Server is running Windows 10.

I think your problem comes from running the webserver from within a virtual machine. When FlexSim is run from within a virtual machine then it isn't able to use the machines graphics card to draw the 3D view.

I also believe that when an exception happens while running the server the model is saved. When you open the model again the exception shows because that view was saved.

Thank you for your answer. For now we only use virual machines so we are a bit stuck. Maybe in the futur we'll have a physical server. I'll let you know if this works in case we try on a real server.
