How do I tell a station in a conveyor to follow a from to set-up table when item type changes? conveyor stations don't have the setup feature of processors
There are a couple ways that you could potentially do this.
1) If you're using a table for Process Time, you can add on additional "setup time" to the different table values. For example, if you're going from item type 1 to item type 1, then:
Table Value = Process Time
If you're going from item type 1 to item type 2, however, then:
Table Value = Process Time + Setup Time (from type 1 to type 2)
This way would require manipulation of your table, but is pretty straightforward in FlexSim. If you have questions about how to use table lookup values, feel free to ask and I will clarify.
2) A different option would be to use two stations right next to each other. The first of which would use an On Arrival trigger (shown below) that would stop and delay the item (to represent setup time) and then the second would complete the Process Time function.
These are just a couple of ideas. I've attached a very simple example in hopes that you can take these ideas and develop something that will work for you. Please comment back if you'd like further help or clarification.
