suggested way to model make a process wait until..

Looking for recommendations on method to model this situation: 4 retorts (currently modeled as a processor, should this be a combiner?) require item and hot water and the hot water can only be supplied every 6 minutes. item arrivals vary so the process would need to be delayed until hot water is available. Looking for suggestions on good way to model this.

I would suggest using combiners, the first connection to the combiner would be the water, and then the second connection to the combiner would be the items. Some thing I'm not quite sure is if the items begin batching if there is no hot water ready.
