Activation IDs not getting upgraded

Hi

I am trying to upgrade to Flexsim 2019. Ours is a 20 seat user licence under valid maintenance.

I have downloaded the latest License Server files and am trying to follow the procedure given in Upgrade the License document. When I click 'upgrade the licence', no changes are made to the activation ID visible on screen. Activation ID shown in my account is for version 17.

However, when I click on View License Rights in FlexServActUtil it is showing a message 'No fulfillment records in trusted storage'. Since the activation IDs are not generated, I am unable to proceed further.

I am trying to do this from one of our client systems as the server designated system got crashed and has been formatted.

Kindly help for getting the new activation IDs.

@YEOLE SHIVRAJ NARAYAN please contact your FlexSim distributor directly by phone or e-mail. The trusted storage was on the crashed server. Probably you weren't able to return the licenses before you reinstalled the server system. They are lost. The distributor can initiate that the licenses are rebuild in your user account.

Hi @YEOLE SHIVRAJ NARAYAN,

Because your license was activated and never returned, and due to the reformatted server will never be able to be returned, you will not be able to proceed normally through the upgrade process.

Please follow @Jörg Vogel's advice to contact your local FlexSim distributor. Explain your situation regarding the formatted license server and they will help you resolve the matter.

By the way, in your FlexSim Account's licenses view you'll find the answer to "When I click 'upgrade the licence', no changes are made to the activation ID visible on screen." If you look at the heading in the gray box containing your license, you'll read:

The activation IDs in this box can be upgraded to the latest version of FlexSim. Once a license below has been returned, refresh the table above to see its upgraded code.

Our website doesn't show the new license code until it is actually usable. ie. once the old license is returned.
