Acquire staff member during walk to reset position

I build a small example model where a second patient tries to acquire a staff member. However, this is only possible after the staff member arrives at his reset position. Is there a way to be able to already acquire the staff member during his walk back to the reset position?

We might do something about this in a future version (like 19.2), but there's not currently an easy way to do this.

You can detach the staff member from the Staff process flow which will turn off the mechanism that's making the staff walk back to its reset position. Or you could then make your own instanced flow that does something different and attach the staff to that flow.
