New area keeps getting deleted when saving and opening model

Hi, a colleague is working on a model with many areas/locations. Now she has to add the last areas on the model, but when she does and then saves the model, she gets an error where it says the new locations new area does not exist. whe've tried many times and we're getting the same error (on different computers also)...

any pointers where to look for a solution?.

regards

Pablo

Hi Pablo,

Check the model tree for any signs of corruption such as nodes without names or standard icons. Also take a look in the Tools folder of the model tree for the Areas object which contains a list of the areas in the model. Within each area object there should also be a list of the locations contained as members of the area.

You can also try the menu option File > System > RefreshObjectReferences to see if it helps fix the problem.

If you can send the model to me, I will try to fix it for you as well.

Hi @Cliff King,

I don´t see any signs of corruption on the tree. The new area appears in the Areas folder in tools, and the locations are listed correctly, but when saved and then i open the file (or when i try the RefreshObjectReferences option) the new area folder in Areas in tools is not there and the new locations have assigned the first area created on the model and i get the compiler console error:

Flexscript ErrorMODEL:/Bed1>variables/AreaNameline 2unknown variable "BedArea"

i'm not sure how to change the topic to private to send the file... can i send it to your email?

thanks for your help..

regards

Pablo
