AGV Path Export

Is there a way to export a complete AGV path for use in AutoCAD or any drawing format?

@Raymond F

Currently there is no way to export FlexSim files/models as a CAD file.

Feel free to post an idea on this site or send a feature request to [email protected] if there is a new feature you'd like to see.

Hi @Raymond F,

I missed your question when it was posted, but I hope it's never too late to add some more information.

As @zachary.h answered, there is currently no built-in tool to export AGV paths in dxf or dwg.

However, last year I presented to FlexSim USA a custom module that we developped, we called it the DXF Exporter:

Here is how the interface looks like:

For each group of objects, we can select in which layer they belong, their color, and if object names will be displayed on the layout.

Here is a small sample model:

And here is the dxf layout that I exported from this model:

@jordan.johnson do you know if such a tool is planned in the dev list for a next release ?

This is awesome and exactly what I am looking for. How do I get this module?

You'll need to contact @Clair A, who has developed a third-party module for exporting this info. We don't have plans to include this feature.

Hi @Jordan Johnson, as Autodesk has purchased FlexSim, does exporting a FlexSim model to an Autocad file now have a higher priority in the dev list ? We still get that request frequently.

Hi @Raymond F, I discussed with my colleague Allister who is the one who developped this module. This is not something he would like to share freely on the forum. So I will connect you with Allister by email to continue the discussion privately.
