How to create a column or tower?

I need to connect a conveyor that will split into two towers. I cannot find icon where I can build a tower. Thanks

Hi @Azra S2,

I'm not sure if I understand correctly what you are trying to represent in your model. Could you attach an image or describe more about the function of a "tower"? There's not anything currently built into FlexSim that fits that initial description. Are you looking for something like an inclined conveyor or elevation system? Or are you just looking for a visual piece that represents the structural piece supporting a conveyor belt (see image)?

Ideally I am planning to draw a tower which lifts tote and enters a grid. The image you sent of tower is good. In my picture, the cylinder represents the tower.

I saw the rack icon (using it as a grid) and want to place it on top of the tower (horizontal, flat position). I went into properties and played around with the axis but to no avail.

Maybe because I have the free trial, I am limited in what features and icons I can use. Thanks @Tanner Poulton

Hi @Azra S2,

There's not a FlexSim "tower" object or functionality, but you can create a similar functionality by using conveyors in a vertical orientation. In practice, however, this is not recommended other than to obtain desired visuals.

Alternatively, you might consider using an ASRS vehicle to place items into the rack. They have vertical and horizontal movement in one plane.
