No Blocking at Conveyor Station

Hi,

I am working on assembly line that operators work beside conveyor. I figure out a fine way to achieve my goal but still wonder if there can be a better way.

In the model, items must be unload to entry transfer in order to put back to conveyor when process is finished. So I use a basicFR as dummy to generate entry transfers. Hope there is a simpler way to build the model or maybe station and decision point can be treated as transfer someday.

Hi @steven.chen,

You can use the Remove Connections function if you don't want to keep the object that is tied to the Entry Transfer. Have you tried this functionality? It will leave the Entry Transfer after all the connections have been removed and the BasicFR has been deleted.

Unfortunately, conveyors are very different from other objects in FlexSim, so the Entry Transfer is necessary. I agree that it would be nice if a Decision Point or a Station object could work like an Entry Transfer, though.
