Staff Movement and Arrivals

Hi! I have a problem in my model, since Night_Doctor continues using the elevator and I cannot see the reason behind. He's stuck!

I attach the model.

In addition, I have created a single arrival pattern of 5 different PCIs, taking into consideration their percentages, but they belong to two different tracks; by considering only one patients arrival pattern, will they follow the different tracks, depending on their PCI?

Thank you

The doctor was getting stuck when returning to his home base (ie. group) after completing a task, so I checked how his group object was connected to the network. It was connected to a network node located on a different floor than the group itself. The fix was to simply uncheck the "Connect to Path" box in the group properties and then recheck it so it would connect to the node closest to it on the same floor. I did this for both doctor groups.

I also made some improvements to the node connections with the elevator itself. Typically, you want to make spurs leading to the elevator with the last node that's connected to the elevator placed out in front of the elevator doors. It's also important to have all the nodes that are connected to the elevator to be exactly one above the other on each floor, so I aligned these nodes as well.

In addition, I made sure the nurse station you're using for the off schedule location was accessible on the bottom floor the elevator extends to.

As for you PCI and track question, it is very common to use more PCI's than tracks with multiple PCI's assigned the same track. No problems there. You can then assign PCI's randomly to patients as you're doing in your model at the arrival door and depending on the PCI assigned and the track associated with that PCI in the PCI Table, the patient will use the proper track that's associated with the PCI.
